This isn’t just a clothing brand. It’s a response.
"Son of Barakel" was born out of a simple but pressing tension:
We live in a world full of questions, but few places where it’s safe to actually ask them. Especially about faith. Especially with honesty.
The name itself comes from Barakel, meaning God has blessed — a subtle nod to someone who speaks not from status, but from conviction. In the book of Job, Barakel’s son Elihu waited in silence while others spoke with confidence but little insight. And when he finally spoke, he didn’t speak to win — he spoke because truth mattered too much to stay quiet.
That’s the heartbeat of this brand.
We design clothing for those who don’t just wear what they believe — they live in the tension of belief and doubt, of questions and pursuit. These designs aren’t made to preach. They’re made to start something — a conversation, a pause, a challenge. Not to shout over others, but to create space for curiosity, courage, and clarity.
We believe there’s power in wearing what you’re still wrestling with.
And even more power in being willing to talk about it.
To create conversation-starting apparel rooted in deeper questions, not surface slogans
To provide early access to thought-provoking content — from apologetics and polemics to books, blogs, and beyond
To encourage a culture where truth is pursued, not assumed
If you're wearing one of our pieces, we hope it makes someone ask a question.
Not so you can give them the answer, but so you can finally talk about something that matters.
Welcome to the conversation.
